Recommendation:
Currently: Monthly salary - Every board member will receive a monthly salary of $425, as set at the annual reorganizational meeting. The monthly salary is compensation for regular board meetings, special board meetings, the annual MSBA Conference and monthly committee meetings (as assigned during the reorganizational meeting).

Recommendation:
Currently: The monthly salary does not include training sessions, member of an interview committee, negotiation committee meetings, or meetings attended by board members outside the school district boundaries, other than as appointed during the reorganization meeting, with the exception of the Mid-State meeting (to be paid at the hourly rate of $20 per hour). Reimbursement rates for these meetings are $80.00 for up to four-hours, and $20 per hour for any time after the four-hours. This does not include travel time. School Board members will be reimbursed upon presentation of an expense voucher, signed by the member.
